The Student Program is designed exclusively for Interior Design and Architecture students. Stop by and gain exposure to the professional world of design through activities that bring you up close and personal with the industry’s top manufacturers and designers. Students may also visit the Exhibits on the 7th and 8th Floors, in addition to visiting the Showrooms on Floors 3, 6, 10, 11, 14, 15 & 16.
IIDA Student Design Charette
Tuesday, June 16
Location: The Merchandise Mart
School nominated IIDA Student Members from around the country will compete live, onsite for this annual design competition that takes place during NeoCon. Students have less than six hours to develop a design solution, develop a presentation, and pitch their concept to a panel of esteemed judges. NeoCon attendees are encouraged to observe the students during the creative and presentation process. Final presentations will take place at 3:00 p.m on Tuesday, June 16th with winners announced at the winner’s reception on Wednesday, June 17th at DIRTT Environmental Solutions.

The Student Project Display
View a digital display of the future of interior design from the next generation of designers from interior design and architecture schools. The Student Project Display provides design students and schools from across the nation with an opportunity to exhibit their best design solutions for spaces in the following market segments: Office Design, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, Environmental, and Government Interiors.
*We will be accepting a maximum of 5 student projects from each school. Each student's project should not exceed 10 slides (excluding a title page). If a school receives more than 5 submissions, it will be up to the school to decide which 5 projects to submit. Once the 5 projects have been selected to submit, please combine them into 1 final PDF to submit for the display (this will be around 60 pages). Each project should have a title page and the school should have 1 title page at the beginning.
